that obviously is going to be a problem for whatever president's next but not something president obama wants to be talking about right now. >> with iran obviously they're having sort of its own singular way inserting itself in the elections. we heard from ahmadinejad last week and heard from netanyahu literally drawing that red line on the metaphor kal bomb. >> right. >> could we hear from iran between now and say november 6th? >> well, this is pretty amazing. obviously when prime minister netanyahu spoke, there was a sigh of relief. not just in the obama administration but many who said, look, the deadline is next spring, next summer. there isn't going to be a possible israeli military strike before the election. but iran is doubling down. just today prime minister ahmadinejad back in tehran gave a press conference. and he said this, brooke, i'll quote him "we are not people to retreat on the nuclear issue. if somebody thinks they can pressure iran, they are certainly wrong and must correct their behavior." at least in terms of words, which actions are more important than words, but in term

that's important. so i think that any obama supporter who really loves the president is a little worried that maybe sometimes he may speak longer than the evening news and the morning news the next day is able to cover in full. >> as someone who's moderated four debates with him can testify to that. congressman, to you, what's the biggest weakness governor romney has. i've moderated four debates with him as well. >> there's so much material to attack the president on -- >> no. not the president. romney's biggest weakness. >> well, i think part of the challenge is how do you succinctly get to that and at the same time when you only have 90 seconds or 120 seconds to answer a question then also be able to share your vision and your compassion to the voters that are watching at home. to be able to contrast the president's record and his vision, share with that in a compassionate way, that's challenging to do in 120 seconds. >> here's a big challenge that the president has, bill. look at this. likely voters we asked who will win the presidential debate? 56% said the president. 32% sai

greater growth in the second quarter of ?iew and still lost than president obama had in this quarter so the economy is worse off. i also know that unemployment is higher than it was under george walker bush. i can't say for sure, but i think the next highest unemployment rate that a president's been re-elected at was 7.2% under reagan. i can't say for sure, but i think it was under 6.5% for george hw bush. i don't know what the inflation rate or interest rate was, but the economy was in better shape in 1992 by any objective measure than it has in 2012 so president obama's in big trouble. >> hi, i just want to take the opportunity to thank you because you use your gifted brain and your considerable verbal skills, writing skills, energy, and fly all over. i'm grateful you're able to do that. >> my great pleasure, thank you. >> my question is what can little people, individual little people do the best right now to support mitt romney? i was a rick santorum supporter, and i'm grateful to have seen it play out. when everybody was played out, now it seems like we're all standing strong and f

of september. here is what they're seeing. president obama's campaign outspending mitt romney's campaign almost 2-1 in the last three weeks of september. take a look at the next level. super pac level, republican super pacs outspending 2-1. in some senate races it shows more than 50% of the ads on air in swing states are coming from these super pacs. fascinating measure just how much they're having an effect and, in some cases, propping up campaigns. >> the two biggest super pacs out there, dedicated to president obama and romney, they're obviously the chief of each of those is about to come on the show. how are they doing specifically? >> in terms of money raised to debt, current year-to-date totals we have, the general ratio shows restore our future, romney associated super pac outspending the super pac associated with president obama. for the month of august, first time liberal super pacs outraised conservative super pacs. the restore our future super pac aired no ads from a period of august 21st to september 19th. they were dark. that's an extraordinary thing and raises a lot of questions.

. court watchers expect one or more of them to retire during the course of the next presidency. which justices leave and whether the replacement is nominated by romney or obama could tip the balance of the court. i think back to the contentious health care decision, that 5-4 outcome, this may not be exciting stuff, but it is exciting if you're following it like we are. it is so, so important. wasn't to bri i want to bring in joe johns. president obama already put not just one but two justices on the current court. you know, reading into the supreme court tea leaves if you will, does that give us a pretty good idea as to who might be on the short list, if and when he's re-elected, and a vacancy perhaps pops open. >> well, i think so. you never know in these things, brooke, but if president obama were re-elected and got the opportunity to select a replacement, one of the names, interesting enough, that we have been hearing a lot is kamala harris, the california attorney general, also mentioned as a possible nominee for the united states attorney general if eric holder were to step down.
